70 years and a lot of history to tell!

With its elegance, the swan evokes intuition, purity, lightness and fidelity. Its image brings beauty, gliding across the waters, elegantly in balance. It’s no wonder that the swan has starred in myths, ballets, poetry and many other artistic forms that populate our imagination.

Furthermore, the existence of these beings harbors other refinements: they can reach high flights and sing. They are adaptable to crowds, but they can turn to themselves, rooted in their intuition and balance between the collective space and the interior.

Thus, it inspires us to pay attention to instincts, fidelity, partnership and unity. For 70 years this symbolism of the swan has served as inspiration and guides our principles of innovation, pioneering spirit, quality, ethics, loyalty and respect for people, which defines what we were, what we are and what we will be.

THE BEGINNING OF SALT PRODUCTION IN BRAZIL

The first large Brazilian salt works was installed in Brazil in 1828, in Cabo Frio, by a German military attaché, after obtaining a land concession from Emperor Pedro I.

At the beginning of the 20th century, there was a great increase in extraction areas from the arrival of Portuguese salt producers, driven by the interest in producing salt in the region to supply the Brazilian domestic market.

Several salt works settled in the region and thus began salt production in Brazil.
