In 1951, we had already started our journey by manufacturing a salt with a differentiated technology, installing a plant to produce salt under vacuum on the banks of the Araruama lagoon. Since then this spirit of innovation and pioneering has become a form of permanent conduct, and we follow this path, investing in new technologies and always attentive to innovation opportunities.

The waters of the Atlantic Ocean flow, naturally, to the Lagoa de Araruama
The water from Lagoa de Araruama is pumped into the salt flats
At the saltworks, the water from the lagoon is transformed brine through natural evaporation of the water (sun and wind)
In the evaporators there is an accelerated continuation of water evaporation, giving rise to salt crystals, which are separated for drying.
During drying, there is total removal of the water, resulting in a white-colored salt with excellent flow.
The salt is packaged automatically, without manual contact.
The packaged salt is maintained in a suitable environment to conserve the quality of the salt until it is sent to customers.
